Directions

In the first scene of the prototype game, the 'MENU' page displays various buttons that would feature in a fully developed game. While most of the buttons are placeholder (non-functioning) items, clicking the 'CONTROLS' button will direct you to the second functioning scene of the game.

While in the 'CONTROLS' scene the user is able to have basic interaction with the 'Dog' character that will feature in the game. The user is able to easily interact with the character by pressing buttons that are labeled with basic letters and symbols, that are on either side of the descriptive function text.

The functions are as follows;

- Rotate: Left and Right (L, R)

- Move: Left and Right (L, R)

- Size: Grow and Shrink (+, -)

There is a 'RESET' button at the bottom of the controls panel, allowing the user to reset the characters position back to its original sizing and placement.

The 'EXIT' button at the very bottom of the controls panel is clearly identifiable through colour differentiation and placement, allows the user to return to the 'MENU' scene.

UX Principles

Reoccurring and consistent placement of objects and materials throughout both scenes; Button placements, object placement, colour schemes and font.

The purposeful placement of objects and buttons was used to give the game a free and uncluttered appearance.

The platform in which the game was intended to be used (mobile devices), was the focus when determining the navigation layout. This included the sizing and space between navigational buttons, so that they would be functional on all platforms.

Hi Mitch, you have developed a great initial development for your Greybox.

Your choice to make a consistent design across all scenes makes it really easy for the user to access. and minimize any confusion or navigation issues.

the choice of the colors appears to work together. and ties the beach them together Nicely, i would however look at changing the onclick of the button color or the text to make it clear to the user this is only minor and does not detract from the overall finish.

To develop the user experience, I would look at adding a few more features/assets to the scene as the water can be a little plane to look at and disengaging.

overall nice work keep it up.

Nice colour scheme, the dog character built in pro builder also looks great! Love the textures of the beach ball, coconuts and shells.

Something that could be improved is the feedback colour of the buttons as the colour is very similar to the background of the scene and they become bit harder to see

It does look great! I like the menu layout with the buttons and colour scheme. And Especially the asset textures. I couldn't figure out how to properly set up the beach ball lol. If I had to come up with some feedback, you could add some objects to the sky like clouds and sun and possibly have the lighting show that.

Looks Great MITCH!

You must be so handsome and talented...
